Calling all Youth to Participate in the Christmas at Seas Program!
Pizza Seafarer Christmas Party
Sunday, December 3 from 1-3pm in the Parish Hall
Seafarers are people who work on ships and may be thousands of miles away from their home. They are rarely home for any celebration, so as they are also away from their families, the holiday season can be very difficult.
Join us as we organize the items collected for the "ditty boxes" to gift to these mariners arriving at the Port of Wilmington this Christmas. These boxes may be the only gift they open for Christmas.
You can be the hospitality they need to feel a warm welcome to Delaware as they bring essential foods for our tables.
We will create some Christmas cards for the seafarers, and there will be prizes awarded, pizza, drinks, and dessert!
Bring some of the items listed below (a minimum of five of the same item) on December 3. Many can be purchased at discount stores.
The boxes are filled with essentials like toothpaste, razors, soap, a hand knit hat and scarf, and a few goodies. You can participate by filling a box or simply by donating some of the items listed below:
Chap Stick
